Question quick question.....

im a little confused and maybe i should already know the answer to this!

after cmpleting my warm up sets is it better to go straight to your max weight for the remainding sets or work my way up to my max?

if i went straight to my max i would become weaker so therefore i would have to drop the weight slightly for the next

is this good? or should i be gradually upping the weight

it just seems im not 100% maxed out by doing this

advice would be greatly appreciated

Depends how you are training I guess. Some people pyramid down from their max or the other way round.

I think the "norm" is to work towards your max - starting lighter and increase weight as you go.

hmm good question.

I've always done a some stretching, warmed up with light weights.. followed by half my max for 2sets and then max it out for the rest of the sets as much as i can.

maybe thats bad lol

I do some stretching and light sets for my warm up. when i,m ready for my set. I start with a low weight and work my way up. i'm strongest this way and i know my muscles are ready for a proper workout.
