![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Confused: Cardio on same day as lifting? I have been reading conflicting ideas about doing cardio on the same day as lifting. Some peeps swear by it, happily making clean gains while others are dead against it. Any inputs peeps? Thanks.

![]() ![]() | My Thoughts Hi Meera, I think it depends on how many days you are currently training, personally i like to do mine on separate days so it helps to aid recovery,eg train legs on tuesday,do some treadmill work on wednesday which helps with easing doms and keeping blood circulating through the muscle stopping waste materials building up.I feel it lets me recovery faster and so hit the muscle sooner that if I didnt.Ultimately its a personnel thing, you dont want to live in the gym,got to achieve some balance to lifes prioritises. All the best Highlander:smoke: |

![]() | It really depends on your goals! If all you want is size, then cardio really is a waste of time! If your reducing your body fat then obviously cardio is good. If you add cardio you should reduce your lifting frequency! For best results from cardio and resistance training work at a high intensity (near you hardest) and low volume (short amounts of time)!!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'd do both, we (well most of us) lift to get bigger and be healthy, cardiovascular fitness is a big part of that, plus i never used to do cardio and felt like crap, i added 2-3 30 minute light intensity sessions per week and not only do i feel better but i recover quicker
