    benefit of pressing with a log

    Whats the benefits of pressing with a log rather than a bar ?Is it jsut the way you hold it or is it because its bigger and more bulkier than a bar ?

    I think it is just more of a challenge and looks a bit more interesting in competition than a plain looking barbell.

    If you mean a log as in on of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1UCVvwIIIk then the benefit would be that your are hitting the chest muscles in a different way than normal. Obviously this is always good in terms of switching things up to keep the muscle guessing.

    funny coz i do alot of log pressing over head but dont use chest muscle i use my delts

    benefit of log pressing is for strongman purposes .
