we (I) count plant proteins as carbs aka only fuel as they are so incomplete and never quite broken down enough that the body in most cases just converts them through glucogenisis to sugars or stress the crapola out of the liver, and then burns or stores them, plant proteins actually stress the liver (and raise insulin slightly in the process like a diabetics sugar oes up when he is ill or injured. (not all do this, but most, and in some categories, hence I suggest getting some carbs from starches rather than all your carbs from fiberous plants which have plant protein in them)

follow?

This is why moderation, and full meal combining works best in almost all cases.
I love the studies being done right now on athletic protein consumption, it turns out when you use a combination of proteins aka a variety of meats & dairies you need up to half as much protein to get the optimal results. This kills the You need over 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight MYTH. Let the body tell you what you need in calories, we are past the exact g per body stuff now and have moved scince on into ratios and exact food combinations. aka stopping the guessing.
