Thats true. Arnie was so anal about it he reckoned that just changing the arc travelled on arms just by one inch really fooked up the whole exercise and made it a shoulder exercise.
I try to keep elbows locked in and also use a preacher bench for dumbells.
I do see some people in my gym using a preacher bench but not keeping their arms dead straight (more of a diagonal across the bench) which kinds defeats the object really.
