my arms get absolutely ruined from deadlifts, forearms and general grip is near non existent after my back workout, thats one reason
i always looked at the traps as a general shoulder area, no science behind this reason just how i viewed it when i first started
my shoulder day if i removed shrugs would only involve 3 techniques whereas my back workout would be bumped up to about 5 maybe 6 i cant recall, i mean deadlifts alone are bad enough i do them first and im basically heaving for the rest of the session lol
and finally as you guessed, i was also influenced, seen a few guys doing shrugs followed by mil press (this was before i even joined here or knew what i was doing lol) and its just stuck
the main reason though is just convenience for me mate |
