| Re: Bench Press I used to go warm up set, low weight, say 80kg, 100k then 90k, I burn out pretty easy when doing big compound moves and found this a good way of consistently lifting more every week. But its probably splitting hairs but I found warm up ( half your biggest weight, really slow ), then your first real set you are still warming up, After this lift your heaviest as you have highest ammount of energy vs fully warmed up muscle group, then after ive killed myself on the heaviest, knock it down slightly to make sure I get a decent ammount of reps in for the last set. |
