You need the fats in the yolk to properly and fully digest the protein in the egg white,also the yolk contains all those lovely b vitamins that supply us with energy and lecithin to help the body breakdown and burn fats for fuel.

Well, its not really a myth, its just more of a personal preference. Some people eat the yokes & others dont. I know Ronnie Coleman in his videos doesnt eat the yokes, he prefers just the whites. But, Arnie on the other hand used to eat the whole egg.
I personally do half & half. If im having scrambled eggs with my steak, i have 10 massive eggs. I usually split them into 5 whole & 5 just the whites.
