I would just reduce calories a little. Calculate your daily calorie needs with one of the threads on this site and try eating with a slight daily calorie deficiency? |
Any increase in either sodium or potassium (both vital metals in the body for normal cell function) can unbalance the water potential of the cells in the body. By increasing the concentration of either causes more water to move into cells to counteract the high levels of the above. This may be what is causing your water retention.
I would cut down on the bananas a little- perhaps 1-2 a day would be sufficent.
They have a relatively high glycemic index which causes the sugars to be easily released into the body- this also affects the water concentration in the body's cells... thus spiking blood sugars and causing water to pass from outside blood cells to inside.. anyway.. enough about that.. water retention can also be caused by not drinking enough water.. how much are you getting per day?
Judging by the amount of cardio you do, i'm guessing you must be needing about 4-5 litres per day!
