Are you sure about that? I know there is no solid facts.. But the typical leaked news is that they are.

PR we are not doing this we are doing this... While in the background they are doing what they said they wont. Look at Conan (coming to PC soon) unextracted that game is 30 gig. A normal dvd can not cope, it would have to be a bluray to handle it. Thats one advantage the PS3 has is the storage space. Who knows time will tell. I know microsoft have been pro digital content for a long while, but 720p as the max digital download is ****, even then your looking at 7 gig + to download. 1080p is huge and would be good if they release that to download.
You are right about the ps3 has loads of potential. As I said MGS will really show what the console will do.
Also to the retro systems. I do not feel the magic with todays games that I once did playing games on the snes/nes/master system. I have only with a few games in recent years
Shadowrun and FF VII/MGS which is a shame as I miss the magic factor :(
