Re: fooking shin splints.

Guys just to use the correct term here what you experience is called compartment syndrome not shin splints. Just incase you sought treatment for it etc.

Compartment syndrome is that burning swelling sensation causing the tib anterior to swell and even be hard to touch. It's common in people wearing the wrong shoes for running even in people who dont take gear. It's just the muscle filling with blood supply and the stretching of fascia causing pain.

Obviously gear that causes the greates pump will bring on the worst compartment syndrome. It should subside after your cycle if diet is clean.

Shin splints refers to a few different occurances, mainly resulting in an overuse type injury caused by compressive forces on the tibia and it's fascia bringing inflammation, fascitis and the sensation of tooth ache in the shin.
