Re: PhilBs run in to Muscle Mayhem and South East

Lost Soul - have played with carbs a bit - ie having a lower few days followed by a slightly higher few days here and there - but no not done a carb cycling approach atall.

One theme all the way through the diet has been to keep everything simple - this has included diet, cardio, training, supplements, pharmaceuticals etc.

What I have felt with this approach more than any other time I have dieted is that I have been working with my body rather than fighting against it - James advocated eating a lot more carbs than I have ever dieted on before - as a result i have been mentally much more "alive" all the way through the prep - also I have had better workouts in the gym as i have had more glycogen.

The flip side is i have had to invest more time doing cardio right from week 1 - but i havent minded cos instead of spending most of my waking hours lethargic and like a zombie i have felt really good.

Pro - I have to do the open class at Muscle Mayhem which isnt ideal as who knows who might turn up!! If nothing else though it will be great experience to get back on stage after 18 months - and will also give James a chance to see how I respond to his carb up protocol. At the South East I will be doing the middle weights under 80Kg class.

As for the posing music - well thats top secret!! It will either look really cool - or more cheesy than a cheese sandwich!! LOL.

Currently on my first break of my 12 hour night shift - feel suprisingly good and rattling through my planned work for tonight - which is good!

First day of half carbs tommorow - which wont be nice but I only have a 6 hour shift to do tommorow as I am making hours back up later in the week when im full of carbs and will be brimming with mental and physical energy!!
