| EPA & DHA are the omega-3 fatty acids that are the reason you take fish oil / cod liver oil. They help with cholesterol levels, brain function and they're supposedly good for joints.
Fish oil and cod liver oil are pretty similar, although fish oil generally contains more of the omega-3's. Also, you need to be careful about taking too much cod liver oil as it contains Vitamins A & D, which are toxic in excess. Fish oil doesn't contain these. |
