| Re: Basmati rice I would say on a bulking diet that white basmati is better as you get a higher GI and slin reaction so the food gets absorbed better and so you can eat more in the day.
Brown Basmati rice is ULTRA LOW GI and will bloat you out if you are bulking cos of the amount of food you have to eat when off season.
Therefore White rice is best for off season and Brown for dieting when calories are restricted and you want a slower relase of energy.
I add pilau rice seasoning to mine and it makes all the difference in terms of taste
