Not bothered about studies at all, anecdotal evidence from people in the field and my own experience tells me that 30g just doesnt cut it after a workout.

Didnt know about the dlpa cheers.
No worries about the dlpa

Have you ever used HWP with a DH of 30%? I all most guarantee that 30g would be enough protein for you to use, 1 million times better than whey, the stuff is amazing.

With regards to glucogen synthesis; its produced by the liver from excessive protein intake at any one time, It inhibits protein synthesis, *blunts insulin and therefore reduces glycogen uptake. Which isn't what you want. You'd probably be ok with higher amounts of whey conc / iso as they take about 90 mins to reach peak amino acid blood concentration.

As HWP causes a massive insulin response coupled with dextrose/malo and leucine (studies show*) induce a massive insulin response (the most possible, unless your injecting exogeniously ;) ) that will blunt any catabolic action going on post workout while the very fast protein synthesis will get you in a possitive nitrogen balance again.
