Yep. I've had a torn cruciate ligament and cartilage (meniscus).

If you have torn your cartilage then you'll more than likely have floating bits in your knee that may need removing. The meniscus will probably need trimming and tidying up - more than likely using keyhole surgery.

I opted to stay awake and had an epidural for mine

Either way - go see your GP. He should refer you for a scan, although knowing most GPs he'll simply put you on pain medication and tell you to rest...:rage:

Do you have any instability in the knee? Any swelling?
