| Re: How important are post workout shakes? i have 30g of whey and 50g of dextrose pwo then a real meal 1 hour later. This has always stood me well and i always feel a bit sick after a good workout so id rather have a shake as its lighter and easier for me to digest. Everyone has different ways of doing things and i think lot of people over complicate the pwo shake when in reality it only needs to be a quick hit of carbs and protein
