Knee pain

I hurt my knee playing football a few weeks ago and I can't seem to get rid of it. It didn't hurt me for about 4 or 5 days so i figured it had gone and went ahead with squats. Soon as i had finished the squats i bent down to pick up my phone and felt a sharp pain in my knee.

Getting it more regularly now just from bending down with my own bodyweight. Any ideas what it is or how long i should rest for?

Whats the best cardio i can do which won't put too much strain on my knee? bike, xtrainer, walking, rowing?

I've decided not to do deads or squats and just work my arms but keep the cardio and see if the pain goes. Are there any leg workouts i could do which wouldnt put too much strain on the old knee?

Had to write fast as i'm late but thats for help!
