Thinking about it, theres no reasion why you couldnt use that as the basis for a Japanese style tattoo, just have it as a background motif (spelling) then have your main design around it if you take my meaning.
Yea removal would be extreemly expensive your talking 1,000s for somthing that big.
Dont worry so much my friend had a massive tat done on either arm by a guy just learning (his mate from college) and they both look like prison jobs.
