this is not true if you are dieting and on restricted calories HIT training burns more muscle than performing cardio at a medium level of intensity for a longer period this has been proved many many times with competing bodybuilders....

i myself have tried both methods and the medium intensity is much better for losing fat and holding muscle IMO
