I place much more emphasis on overall diet rather than what i digest immediately pwo.
Imo 45mins weight training is insufficient to deplete glycogen stores as there should be plenty in the tank gained from the quality of your diet.
So for me,high/low gi is irrelevant(although personal experience suggests high gi encourages fat gains as imo bodytype and aas use will be a factor) as both will do the job fine.
For interest i currently have
banana/whey 30 mins pre
10gwhey/20g bcaa post
20mins later - sweet potato/eggs/cottage cheese & pineapple
