EFA's are brilliant, IMO.
How many you take depends on what your goals are. If your main source of protein is eggs (primarily whole), you'll be getting a lot of good fats from them. It wouldn't hurt for you to throw some in.
I take about 8 a day, but many people take a lot more. I didn't take them for years & since taking them again, I can certainly tell I have a lot more energy.
After speaking with Nytol, one of the moderators on this board, he told me he has his 2 year old daughter on them - I think he said she takes about 4 a day. Now that is fantastic.
After hearing that from Nytol (because the guy knows his stuff), my 18 month old son has been on 2 a day for the past month.
In short, get em' down ya' neck!
