AKA medialis. Sorry, no more big words. On the subject of which movements are best & spike natural test & GH, as a general rule, free standing movements will place a slightly higher neurological stress on the system & may result in higher test/GH levels. I think in the real world though, the degree to which this is noticeable in your physique over leg press & similar movements is not visible.

So long as you go heavy enough to challenge the muscle & keep good form I don't think it matters. As I've said before, I've never done so much as a single rep of traditional back squats & my legs aren't too bad.
