| Re: SQUATS? 35 reps week in, week out isn't progress. You need to make steady progress every week or two to establish that your training is working.
I agree with the other two; 5x5 sounds like the perfect routine for you. Don't go to failure, start at a comfortable weight & add a little bit of weight to the bar each week (even 1.25kg per side) & the results will follow.
Progress is progress, mate.
