| Re: worth it? Oats aren't simple carbs mate, they are complex carbs.
PWO you need to be looking at Dextrose, Maltodextrin or Waxy Maize Starch. A lot of people find oats fine though - but these are by no means fast acting.
A protein shake and a couple of bananas might be ok to be honest. There is a guy where I train that just does that and he looks good for it!
