| Re: Help A Mate Please... The main worry about insulin is going into hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which could kill you.
If you are smart with it's use and don't abuse, it's a very useful drug.
Make sure he gets his hands on a fast acting insulin, e.g. novorapid or humalog
If it's not this type of insulin, DON'T USE IT.
The general theory is 10g of high glycaemic carbs per 1iu of insulin.
Starting off with 4iu post-workout, is a good dose to start with, and gradually work up to 10iu+
With the high glycaemic carbs you want to take your whey protein and creatine, so all the nutrients are shuttled into the muscle cells.
After this shake a solid meal is preferable, low in fat, high in protein and carbs. (insulin is a storage hormone, you don't want to store fat)
If he is using 10iu GH, taking the GH and insulin post-workout should reap better gains than using either alone.
Due to the fact that in order for GH to be converted to IGF-1 in the liver, insulin must be present.
So the two peptides are working synergestically.
