If you are looking to just have a shake between your regular meals to provide extra nutrients, look for a MRP (meal replacement pack) product, whey protien is jsut that; protien... You need carbs and vits/nutes which a propper MRP will provide.
Alternatively you can make your on with a blender... some fruit, whey protien, egg, cottage cheese, oats, natural yogurt (take your pick as long as you get carbs, protien and fats don't be too worried at this stage)
If however it's just for post workout nutrition, you would want a shake with some sort of simple carbs (sugars) and protien. The simple carbs help to spike insulin which in turn helps to shuttle the protien to your muscle tissue (or something like that). |
i guess im looking for a drink to drink after my workout to give the muscles the protein they need to grow and the protein my body need to grow
What shake from that page i put in the first post would do that?
Sorry, but im rather clueless!
EDIT - Hmmm, well, i just ordered a KG of "Impact Whey protein" As that seems to be the most relevant! And 300g of creatine!
