| Re: I met my sporting idol today!
I met Dennis Bergkamp three weeks ago. I'm a massive ****nal fan and I was supposed to be going to Anfield to watch ****nal v Liverpool. My god daughter had a gymnastics show tho (she is 9 and at a very good standard), had said ages ago that I would go and see her....well I couldn;t let her down and I sold my tickets to a mate. I got there just before the show started, watched a good hour of it then went to my car for a protien shake, as I walked back in and sat down, Mr Bergkamp was sitting next to me supporting his daughter! some ppl were going and getting autographs etc, but I just waited until a quiet time in the show when he was on his own and started talking to him about some stuff for about half and hour! I didn't ask for a photo or autograph (I already have one!) as he was with his family and trying to enjoy his day.....but he is a legend!
I also met Martin Keown in a lift at the emirates and I knocked over Freddy Ljungberg as I turned a sharp corner in Mayfair!
