been out for two months

just a quick one...
i've been out of the gym for a couple of months now due to a recent move and a wrist injury.
I'm getting back into it this week and am training for mass. Obviously I'll be expecting bad DOMS as I won't be used to it.
How long should I keep the intensity limited for? I don't want to do myself any damage.
I'm following BIG's 'How To Grow' post but I'm worried about pushing myself too hard at first. I'm assuming I'm back to square one in terms of the progress I had made over my previous six months of training.
Any advice would be much appreciated
