To clarify this malto is dexrtose that has been altered to make it a complex carb. The body still treats it the same way as sugar. Now if you beleive the whole need for a massive post workout insulin jump this or dextrose is what you'll be after. Eating malto any other time is much like eating sugary candy.

Post workout your body is already more sensitive to insulin and so a low GI carb such as oats and a protein powder seem to provide simmilar results in most to dextrose and better results in those that are carb sensitive.

Both Dextrose and Malto are processed foods and so by definition junk. As you've bought it already I'd go a 50/50 mix of this and oat powder post workout, this will be fine unless your carb sensitive.
Humm ok cheers for that i didnt know this i assumed it was pure so unaltered, fancied a changed from my normal tub or protein with all the sweetners and crap in them. Does the same go for the protein 82 and 97 or are they good?
