| Re: need advice on shoulder routine Too much IMO. I usually opt for 12 sets in total for shoulders, tops.
4 sets of presses (barbell, seated dumbbell, smith presses etc)
3 sets of concentrating on side heads, (i.e. seated side laterals, standing side laterals)
2 sets of rear delt work
2-3 sets of shrug work.
If the intensity is there you can't not gain IMO. I used to batter everything with sh1tloads of sets - tried this approach & never looked back.
