| Re: ankle/shin/calf while running Here is an exercise that will help you to strengthen the shins.
OK, stand on a step and put your back to the step.
Put just your heal on the step and do a reverse calf raise, drop your toes down that are off the step, then come back above parallel to the ground.
This will focus on the front part of the shin and strengthen.
Seems that the calf is overpowering the shin muscles.
