Bit of a late diagnosis this, but have you ever considered that the vibrations from the bike handlebars were to blame? I'm not a biker, but my uncle has been all his life. He suffers from tingling & numbness in his hands 24/7. He is into old classic bikes which tend to shake the fillings out of your teeth though. His problem is similar to the industrial injury complaint 'vibration white finger'.
