Do you also suffer depression over these months? if so then you can get a natural light lamp to use in your home, natural light contains a few unexpected things - like lithium (a natural anti-depressant). When looking at a sunset/rise (the only tie you can look directly at the sun) lithuim is drawn directly into your brain - which is why many people find it comforting.
