| Re: Injury Advice - Rotator Cuff !!! If it was a full rotator tear, you will know it quick.
Think of connective tissue fibers and muscle as kind of a rope, several fibers attach, some of them can pull away, but this will rebuild in time as long as there isnt something aggrivating it preventing the healing process.
But a full tear, you are screwed, better to fix right now just like all tears than have the muscle atrophy and scar tissue develop.
My buddy tore his bicep after groosly over training that. He did tons of bicep curls, went to the batting cages and then did a bunch of games bowling.
It tore when he was bowling.
I think it was like 3-4 weeks before they could re-attach it, in the mean time the muscle shortened and it was reattaching some where else (not the home position). The doc had to cut the bicep away form its new location to put it back.
Anyway mate, I am willing to bet money that you will be just fine given a rest.
You can always do the exercises to maintain rotator integrity.
I can show you a couple that will fix ya up in a hurry. |
