didn't get to the bottom of my pain at all unfortunately...
i took a little time off but it was getting more flexiblity that made it subside...
i was sure mine was the glute pressing on a nerve when it shifted - so i corrected it myself by stretching out my lower back, glutes and hamstrings as much as possible and quite often...
even now if i miss a day of squating i kind of get that pain back now - just not as bad...
your hip and knee things would contribute greatly i reckon since it would mean there would be a slight inclination for the spine to go one way or another since your legs might not be the same length (not many peoples are ;))...
the mix of the work the chiro is doing in correcting the spine and yourself gaining more flexibilty (ie. stopping the glute moving so the spinal correction has more chance of staying where it should be) did the trick for me
