Thanks for the advice guys.

I went to a drop in clinic as I couldn't get to see the doc. Still waiting for an appointment - NHS rules - yeah right...

Anyway, I'm on some codeine phosphate combined with ibuprofen. It does seem to be getting a little better, also tried something out of sheer deperation. This is a patch that sits over the lower back which passes a negative charge into the back to nautralize the area - probably a load of b0ll0cks, but the placebo effect seems to be kicking in

Peg, I always take Calcium, Zinc and Magnesium - I've upped my intake though.

Going to book a chiropractor session today - hope it isn't too expensive.
Edit: Got an appointment for tomorrow- £45 for an hour. Can't grumble too much.

Going to go to the gym tonight to do a very light cardio session. Probably x-trainer for an hour. I always think its better to stay active than to stop.

Anyone got opinions on back supports? They are light a very light version of a lifting belt. Would it be suitable to wear when doing light exercise while im recovering?
