Well, a very long time ago they used to believe that any organ you ate effected that organ or supported that organ.
So those with iron poor blood were suggested to eat liver as it is high in iron.
There were glandular extracts made to support specific tissues from specific organ extracts.

Example.
Dessicated liver is supposed to have some undesclosed growth factors, as you know IGF and other growth factors come from the liver. Some feel that 100 liver tabs a day will have an anabolic effect.
I kind of believe this.
This glandular homeopathy way of doing things is kind of lost now days in our take this pill for that kind of society.

I think organ meats are ok but not to be taken every day.
