I read that the optimum dosage is 10g before and after.

I take BCAA capsules before and I have a PWO supp that contains BCAAs afterwards.

I wouldn't have a protein shake too close to a workout as this could cause a stomach upset. However I have a mass drink approx 90 minutes before training commences.
