ermmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm where did you get this violent criminals and low Testo levels thing. In fact, in most studies, it is the opposite that has been found Gareth.
That is where the high testo-aggression link came from.
Additionally, the athlete's diet typically consists of a high protein intake in addition to training at a higher level of intensity. Both of these conditions increase the plasma concentration of protein fragments, which result in increased ammonia levels in the body.
What you have now in the body is literally a metabolic traffic jam of proteins, and amino acids that are circulating in the blood stream (plasma) competing for absorption with other amino acids for the limited number of receptor sites within in body. As a result necessary amino acids are blocked from their metabolic destination, which can interfere with the manufacture of certain essential neuro -transmitters in the concentrations that the body requires maintaining psychological homeostasis. Last time I had blood work done 'on the comp diet' my urea levels were super HIGH!
I am going to have blood work done again, cause a brain is such a fun thing, I mean a terrible thing to waste.
Ironman,
The vitamin advice at the bottom of the article is quite good for coming off cycle.
Skip the 'boll*x' in the middle and check that out.
Also from a scientific literacy point of view, the sample sizes were small. Sort of like the ones where the guy said the MMR jab caused autism, based on about 12 kids and millions of pounds later on massive population surveys, found to be rubbish, AND that the scientist involved had a financial interest in suing the pharmaceutical company.
Thanks Leroy
I thought it was interesting
