I'm sure I remember seeing Hackskii post something on the benefits of this fatty acid but here's a snippet I read in an article this month
Lauric acid is being used to treat Aids Patients because of it's emulsifying properties. Apparently the acid can bind to the HIV virus and help to reduce the active virus count in the body. The benefits are not only to Aids patients though because Lauric Acid can also bind to the Herpes and Cold viruses reducing their impact on the body.
Lauric Acid is found in Virgin Coconut oil which can be bought from health shops or you can buy Udo's Oil which also has a number of other good fats in as well. |
