| your body has been starved of nutrients all night. the first thing you should eat upon waking surely has to be a fast acting protein? if you werent a body builder i would say go ahead and run on an empty stomach but not in this instance. when i used to do cardio in the mornings i would set my alarm for an hour before i was due to wake. i would have a shake by the bed with a banana in it(made the night before). i would drink this and then go back to sleep for an hour. this enables you to do cardio without feeling full and it also stops your body using up all the reserves when you do the cardio |
