| as megatron has said, I think the problem with most vegetarian diets is the amount of carbs people eat to make up for not eating meat.........where we would eat a good portion of meat and have some carbs and veg, veggies may just boost up the potatoes and starch.
I know it is a sweeping statement, but I have 3 friends who are vegetarians, 1 is obese, and the other 2 are overweight. I know far more people who are meat eaters and the proportion who are overweight is far less.
