Atkins (as written in the book) for bodybuilding is not a great idea. HOWEVER, a cyclical ketogenic diet is an excellent idea. This is basically atkins with a weekly carb-up. Take a look here:

It's actually what I'm running at the moment for cutting. You do have to keep the fats very high, and the protein moderate (putting the protein high would cause the body to convert the protein to glucose which will kick you out of ketosis and eliminate the purpose of the diet) and eliminate all carbs apart from on the weekly carb-up.
You will need to get some ketostix to ensure you get into ketosis each week if you're going to run a ketogenic diet. You also can't be afraid to eat a LOT of fats from eggs, mayo, butter, pork, oils etc etc.
It's very effective, but is also a pretty technical way of dieting, so the best thing you can do is go to the url I gave above and read the forums there, and come up with a meal-plan from that.
